Site identity tab allows you to set site identities like Logo, Website Title, Tagline and Icon. Settings can be found under Appearance > Customize > Layout > Header > Site Identity.
Logo (Normal and Retina)
For normal logo you can select a logo image from Media Library from the logo option. Kemet allows you to add a retina version of your website logo to the header from Retina Logo option. Retina logo is usually 2x sized logo and it’s important for your logo to look sharp and crisp on high definition/ heigh resolution screens.
You can adjust your website’s logo width using the slider. It’s also important to set the toggle button to adjust logo width on the desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Kemet crops the logo in an appropriate aspect ratio which helps reducing page load and improves performance.
Site Title & Tagline
Website Title is a name for the website which appears if you don’t have a logo and also it’s important for SEO. The website tagline is one line description for the site. Site Title and Tagline will also display in the title bar of a web browser. You have to the option also to display/hide both along with the site logo.
Inline Alignment – This option sets logo and site title – tagline, in one line. It will be visible only when site title or/and the tagline is enabled.
Site Identity Spacing
You can customize the spacing around your website’s site identity using this option. you can set different values for top, button, left and right sides or one unified value.
Site icon is a small image icon that can be seen in the tab of a web browser when you website is open, bookmark bars, and also within the WordPress mobile apps. You can set it using the site icon option.
